We care and share

The LEGO Foundation is a non-profit organization that holds 25% of the LEGO Group shares. In The LEGO Foundation, we believe that all children have the right to play and learn. Under the headline "We Care and Share" we make LEGO products accessible and applicable for less privileged children around the world through our donation programmes such as LEGO Charity, Care for Education and Care for LEGO Local Communities.

The work of The LEGO Foundation is based on the LEGO Brand Framework and like the LEGO Group, our mission is to “Inspire and develop the builders of tomorrow”. We donate LEGO products all over the world, helping thousands of children, and organizing activities that offer children and adults good experiences and insight into the many creative learning opportunities inherent in LEGO products. Through systematic creativity and playful learning we will enable children to use logic and reasoning along with playfulness and imagination to generate ideas and artifacts that are new, surprising and valuable. We work towards fostering children’s ability to build core competencies and learn in the playful way regardless of social status with the goal that these children will one day take charge of their own life situation – that they are self empowered and able to shape their own future.

The LEGO Foundation:
- Donates LEGO® products all over the world making thousands of children play well happily.
- Contributes with activities that offer children and adults good experiences and insight into the many creative learning opportunities inherent in the LEGO products.
- Enhances children's education via research programs, systematic learning materials and supplementary education of teachers in developing countries.

That is what we call "We care and share".
