The most important stakeholder of the LEGO Group – the children and their children – will inherit the future and our planet. They have a right to a healthy and rich environment. We acknowledge our contribution to human-induced climate change, and we are very concerned about the consequences. This is why we have embarked on a journey to change all fossil fuels used in our production for own consumption into renewable energy.
It is our ambitious goal to have a minimum of 100% renewable energy for our own energy consumption in 2020; with 50% renewable energy reached by 2015. This is a part of our Planet Promise. Read more about our promises.
We have succeeded in obtaining higher energy efficiency and we want to become independent of fossil energy in 2020.
